A unique opportunity to work with multiple businesses and nonprofits on Cape Cod:
An organized, detail-oriented volunteer is needed to coordinate Day of Caring volunteer projects this spring for the Cape and Islands United Way.
This project involves matching area businesses and corporate partners with local nonprofits to complete a team volunteer activity. With 20 or more participating businesses, the coordinator will handle communication with all partners (email, telephone), develop a schedule, and document projects and contacts. The Coordinator, if they so choose, may also attend any of the events to help document, with stories and photos, the volunteer effort. Projects range from clean-up days, to mailings; facility improvements to inventory organization. The Day of Caring Coordinator will work under the direction of our Community Relations Officer.
Many more corporate volunteer projects are planned for the future so this could be either a defined project or an ongoing opportunity to help utilize the network of the Cape and Islands United Way to have a meaningful impact on the community.
Volunteers interested in this position will be interviewed to identify the best person for the tasks at hand. Interested volunteers may respond to this post until February 15th.
